The Silo Art Tour Achterhoek is a project by Cultuur en Erfgoedpact Achterhoek and the Vrijetijdsagenda Achterhoek, initiated by Suzanne Ruesink and the Pak An Foundation, led by Achterhoek Toerisme and Cultuur Oost. In collaboration with the ten Achterhoek municipalities, work is underway to improve the liveability of this region with culture and heritage being important pillars.
Various parties are involved in the realization of this project. Ten locations have been selected in consultation with the municipalities. An artist was chosen for each location who, based on a briefing and site visit, started working on a design. A sounding board group consisting of cultural and liveability partners, including Amphion, Stadsmuseum Doetinchem and Spectrum Elan, were consulted during the assessment of the designs.
